About this course
Having a baby wind up with an NICU stay can be an overwhelming, scary, frustrating and isolating experience for many families. This course was designed by a neonatal nurse who has worked directly with families in crisis for over 15 years, and has a true passion for helping improve the NICU experience through education, information, connection, community and support.
This course will explore a range of topics from:
- Admission to the NICU
- Mom's discharge home
- Making the hospital a home away from home
- Surviving the ups and downs and inconsistencies
- Balancing other children
- How to manage other life responsibilities
- Balancing relationships
- Preparing for discharge
- Life after the NICU
This course will offer time for reflection, sharing stories, learning from others, and having the chance to ask any question you have to a professional who has worked in this field and wants to help you get through this time!
